Keurig K140 K Cup Coffee Brewer

Still for sale on the Keurig website as a commercial model, the Keurig K140/K145 is advertised as a heavy duty home or office coffee maker.

It also features the ability to drain the heater tank.

For the most part, it operates much like many of the other Keurig models with 3 cup sizes. And it also has a smaller 48 oz water reservoir, unlike some of the much larger reservoirs on newer units.

Top praises:

“I bought this unit for my RV and the feature that works great for an RV is the ability to drain it when the RV is stored especially in cold climates. ”

“Delivers hot coffee consistently. Owned 3 years and descaled once. I owned other units in the past, but the commercial unit is very dependable. ”

“I have had this unit since Christmas 2012 and make 3 to 4 cups a day everyday. Yes it makes a bit of noise, but that is not objectionable to me. I have only cleaned it once in 5 years and have never had the descale light come on.”

Top complaints:

Keep in mind that top complaints may only be a small percentage of all units sold - please refer to the overall review ratings.

“Yes it is louder than my other Keurig, but it is a heavy duty machine and in the booklet it says it will be louder because of the heavy duty pump. ”

“I purchased this about 2 years ago and I have to descale every other week. I can descale, get maybe 2-3 cups coffee before I have to do again. Water comes out in slow small stream. ”

“I followed all the directions to the letter. Even in the smallest size, the strongest dark roast tastes weak and watery. It does not allow you to use your own coffee.”

“This brewer sounds like a jet plane landing in your kitchen when it brews each cup! It wakes everyone up in the house. I followed every instruction and wanted to like this brewer for the other great features but the noise is so loud and annoying, we will be replacing it after less than a month of use. “
